Dr. Dean Gomes , is an Aesthetic Plastic Surgeon, who trained at Sion Hospital and Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai. He was a Gold Medalist from Mumbai University in 1996 and was an Associate Consultant at Bombay Hospital.

He is in Bahrain since the last 23 years as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon, presently at the Royal Bahrain Hospital. His interest lies in aesthetic facial, breast, body contouring, post bariatric and rhinoplasty surgery.

He is a member of American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons and ISAPS and Rhinoplasty Society of Europe. He has written numerous articles in Plastic surgery journals.

He has been an invited faculty member of the ISAPS Aesurg Symposiums and APSI meetings

Dr. Bhangoo is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He received his Undergraduate Degree from the University of Cambridge, England and his Medical Degree from the University of East Africa winning the coveted Muljibhai Madhvani prize, awarded to the best medical student of the year. He obtained the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and Fellowship of the Royal College of Sur- geons of Glasgow. These Fellowships are the equivalent of board certification in general surgery in the United States. He completed his Residency in Plastic Surgery at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo where he is currently the chief of Plastic Surgery.

During his residency, Dr. Bhangoo won many awards including the Interna-tional Award for Original Research sponsored by the Educational Foundation of the American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. His research and publications are on the subject of wound healing, scar tissue and cosmetic sur-gery.
Dr. Bhangoo has presented papers and lectured at numerous national and interna-tional meetings and is a visiting Professor to several universities in India. He is the recipient of the prestigious ETHICON And GODREJ Visiting Professor in Cos-metic Surgery awarded by the Association of Plastic Surgeons of India. Dr. Bhangoo has also published many articles in reputed journals and co-authored chapters in several textbooks.

Dr. Bhangoo is a member of the American Society for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a Fellow of the International College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the International Academy of Medical Sciences. He is also Clinical Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at the State University of New York at Buffalo. Dr. Bhangoo was honored with a United States Congressional Ci-tation in 2014 for his contribution to the medical sciences in Western New York and beyond.

Dr. Bhangoo is the recipient of numerous prestigious accolades including the Life-time Achievement Award presented by the Association of Aesthetic Plastic Sur-geons of India for his contributions towards the training of Plastic Surgeons and for the Advancement of Cosmetic Surgery in India, for this he was also facilitated by the President of India.
